Alum Wins 3rd at MTA App Quest Hackathon


MTA and AT&T sponsored the MTA App Quest weekend hackathon powered by NYU Poly and ChallengePost on May 4-5.This two-day event invites hackers to show off their skills while solving real-world problems and enhancing the transit experience of MTA’s 8.5 million daily riders – and compete for $50,000 in prizes!

Congratulations to ITP Alum Kristin Loeb who was on a team that developed Accessway, an MTA transit app for the visually impaired, the third place winner!
Kristin’s team won third place and are now in the running for the final competition for $40,000 in August.  They are also working with the MTA and AT&T to build out a prototype in one of the stations.
