Engine 26 at The Whitney Museum Gala

ITP Alumnus, Daniel Hirschmann (’04) completed a piece for the Whitney Museum of Contemporary Art’s Gala event in New York City.

The piece was version 26 of Engine – his ongoing digital painting project. For the Gala it was re-developed from the ground up and the result was a 4.5m X 3m very high resolution LED wall which ran a live version of Engine 26. Guests painted with their movement and every 45 seconds a new canvas was saved to a digital archive.
