FINAL PRESENTATION
“Product Poetry” Designing Inter-experience Final Presentation
Wednesday, Dec 7
from 6:30pm
at ITP Room 15

Please come to join the final presentation of Product Poetry class taught by Gary Natsume and Peng Zhao. In this class students questioned the meaning and values that inform existing consumer products. In the beginning of the semester each student (or a group of students) was asked to choose a common consumer product, then over 14 weeks they examine the ways users perceive it, interact with it, and assimilate it into their daily lives.

The class emphasized ethnographic research and expert interview in early stage, conceptual and technical exploration in mid stage, and programming implementation and prototyping in the final stage of the class. Using methods of direct and indirect communication between object and user, students will deliver a new layer of meaning or value to their chosen product at the final presentation .

Please review students work from the perspectives:
Why do we need a new product?
What does it mean to us?
What type of value does it bring to the world?
