ITP Alum at ACE 2008


Two projects from ITP Alumnus, Rui Pereira (ITP ’08) have been accepted at ACE 2008 – International Conference on Advances in Computer Entertainment Technology – December 3-5, 2008 in Yokohama, Japan.

TuISt (Transformable uber Interface for STardom) – his thesis project, was accepted both as Poster and for Creative Showcase.  Loop-r (realtime video loop controller) will also be part of the creative showcase.

ACE 2008 is an annual international conference devoted to computer entertainment to provide a premium forum for researchers, developers, practitioners, artists and designers to present and discuss new problems, solutions, content design and technologies in entertainment areas. The conference is sponsored by ACM Chapter (Singapore) in cooperation with VRSJ SIG-A+E and IPSJ SIG-EC.The purpose of this conference is to bring together academic and industry researchers, artists and designers and computer entertainment developers and practitioners, to address and advance the research and development issues related to computer entertainment.
