Jorge Just, Erica Newman, and Robin Reid Present Work At the United Nations

27 March 2013
Design For UNICEF professor Jorge Just and current ITP student Robin Reid and recent alumna Erica Newman presented work at the United Nations Economic and Social Council during their 2013 Youth Forum, which was attended by Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and several hundred UN officials and young people from around the world. During a panel about the Design Economy, Erica presented Replayables, which originated in Design For UNICEF 2011, and Robin presented PowerClip, which originated last fall and was just named a finalist in the New York Top Makers competition. Jorge told the UN all about ITP and the specific challenges and goals of the Design For UNICEF class, and urged UN member states to insist on open source technology and to publicly accessible research.
