ITP Student in Museum Shows this Fall

Current ITP student, Minette Mangahas has a few upcoming exhibitions:

Both the Pacific Asia Museum and the Euphrat Museum of Art are engaged in featuring work that reaches across linguistic and cultural gulfs.  Both shows take their titles from my work, as in Calligraffiti (PAM) and Tension and Attraction of Difference (Euphrat).

At the Pacific Asia Museum, the exhibition will feature works by luminaries Xu Bing, Gu Wenda, Zhang Dali, Chongbin Zheng, Yu-Kun Yang, Chaz Bojorquez, Gronk, John Valadez, Leo Limon,  in addition to works I made with Ricardo Richey and Desi W.O.M.E.

I will also be in two other exhibitions, one a tribute to my Filipino heritage (Tabi Tabi Po) and the other my first solo show in New York (SB Gallery). I will be attending the receptions at the PAM and SB Gallery, however, since I am technically in graduate school at NYU’s ITP Program, I will be m.i.a. at the other shows. (This program is amazing and I must do homework!)

As always, it would be wonderful to hear your feedback about the work!

Much love and many, many blessings,

Minette
