NYU ITP presents NEW WORKS

STORYCODE is proud to present some of the brightest new minds in the immersive media space – innovators at the cutting edge of tech, story and media: Current students in NYU’s ITP program. A showcase of 4 recent projects, this overview shows what’s possible and how they did it.

Elena Parker is a cross-platform producer and writer who has worked on multimedia projects with institutions such as HBO, The New York Public Library, FOOD52 and The Workbook Project. She is currently pursing her Masters Degree at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, where her focus is on interactive video, transmedia and new platforms for long form storytelling. Matthew Epler recently moved back to the U.S. after teaching film theory and history in Brazil and Jordan. He is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Interactive Telecommunications at NYU. Fields of interest include data viz, graphical programming, and archives. He will be presenting data visualization project, “Grand Old Party” http://mepler.com/Grand-Old-Party @matthewepler

Nick Santaniello is an app and game designer / developer hailing from San Francisco, CA. A recent graduate of NYU Tisch’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, he enjoys developing mobile and console games, data visualizations, and other interactive experiences — most recently, he completed a beta version of the explorative and social mobile game, Barcode Bots, which he will be presenting.http://www.barcodebots.net

Kate Tibbetts left a career running political initiatives for non-profits like Rock the Vote and MoveOn.org to pursue a Master’s Degree at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. Fields of interest include story telling, animation, and activism.
