Di Mainstone creates interactive couture garments that playfully explore human behaviour. Exploring the terrain between fashion, technology and interaction, she will be discussing her evolution from London-based fashion designer to nomadic creator of interactive couture. Focusing on a selection of her research projects created in Banff, Montreal and Rotterdam, Di will explain some of the creative joys as well as the technical challenges of experimenting in this unique space. She will finish by reflecting on the relevance of this kind of work in both the world of research and of fashion.
