Spring Break in Peru
Four of us set out to make a documentary piece, Historias de Lurín.
Just south of Lima, Peru’s capital, is the Valley of Lurin, where several archeological sites have been excavated since 1991. However, the archeological site that is located inside Cementos Lima’s land, is completely surrounded by a shanty town.
ITP student, Micaela Pesantes is making a documentary that collects the stories of how these three very different actors – the archeologists, the Private Sector and the local population – interact with each other and with this space.
To be able to make this documentary, video footage, audio recordings and still photographs are needed with the help of ITP students, Amanda Bernsohn, Ari Joseph and Eduardo Lytton.
