Glockenstar, a physical computing midterm created by ITP students, Aaron Sherwood, Steve Cordova and Sonia Li has been receiving a lot of press recently:

The Glockentar is a robotic glockenspiel triggered by plucking guitar strings. Each time a string is plucked a corresponding bell is struck by a solenoid placed above the bell. A beam of light is projection mapped onto each string (when plucked), and flows up and down the length of the string. This project was a collaboration with Steve Cordova and Sonia Li. More info about how it works (including code) can be found on the project’s blog.
