Student Selected as NYU Global Idea Exchange Fellow

362. 122. 1,624.
That’s 362 Inspirations posted, 122 Ideas submitted, and 1,624 NYU students, staff, and faculty interacting on a daily basis since the launch of the inaugural NYU Global Idea Exchange on October 1st.
But more than numbers or statistics, the Global Idea Exchange, or GIE, brought together the NYU community from all over the world, across our campuses and study-away sites, and across different schools and disciplines to connect and collaborate across time and distance, expertise and interests.
With this collaborative spirit in mind, the GIE team is proud to announce the top ideas and the 2012-2013 Global Idea Exchange Fellows. These students and ideas exemplified the GIE mission of connecting NYU students and faculty to collaborate, inspire, and invent.

The Fellows will also be joined in Shanghai by a group of esteemed GIE Mentors drawn from across the NYU community, from faculty and administration to the Board of Trustees. We are privileged to announce that the Fellows will be refining their ideas under the guidance of:

Needless to say, the creativity and collaboration displayed on the platform was truly impressive. From students making connections with outside organizations, to swapping reading lists, to setting up time to meet and talk outside of the platform, we just couldn’t limit ourselves, and so we’d like to recognize additional ideas that grew on the platform:

Thank you to all of you who logged in, participated, and connected with the greater NYU community. We hope that you’ll keep searching for inspiration in your surroundings and coming together to make things better as you move through life. That’s the power of collaboration–and the NYU global network.
See you next year!
