Greenspotter is an extension of the Green Maps project that allows people in the community to contribute to and edit listing of green (eco-friendly, sustainable) businesses, organizations, and resources using a kind of lite-wiki interface. The ultimate goal is to enable people to find green alternatives in their neighborhoods and towns and to help promote organizations that take an earth-friendly approach. Greenspotter will launch for New York City and Austin, TX and will open up to other cities soon after.
