Getting lost & the life Labyrinth.

Upon reading Borges text about the universe (the library) I was familiar and lost at the same time. The reading to me may as well be a labyrinth - the physical structure, its components (books, walls, shapes) plus its inhabitants and visitors has particular symmetry and asymmetry. It felt very manageable yet distorting, full of stories which one can become lost in. Our imagination is what allows us to become lost. The stories meander into uncertain depths, if one cares to look deeper. The text also talked about time – history. We are still discovering new things about history and are still trying to manage time.

Just like the concept of a Labyrinth we can make wrong turns, which could imbed us deeper into an unmapped structure. If we are able to climb high enough we may see our destination, and maybe even a clue on how to get there. Clues are all around us, hidden from the non-believers. We need to open our eyes, feel with our bodies and learn from our surroundings and the past.

Therefore, life is a Labyrinth! Many paths to take and when you turn around the scenery may have evolved or collapsed. On entering we are confronted with many doors or windows, or shoots. Sometimes the paths are easy to trek through which can be deceiving. We see our goals clearly, yet it may be a mirage. The pursuit may end on our time or prematurely. We have no control over the Labyrinth; at the end our final destination is internal.
