Plasticity
After reading the article...I began to analyze my movements more intently. I watched as others entered the subway, how people walked, sat, ran. I actually followed the walking instructions and found that I did walk much faster, but being accustomed to my already "incorrect" style it was hard to continue the strategy.
When deciding on a motion for our next project I immediately wanted to project a light and record/analyze shadows...but in watching the shadows cast from various sources such as light, sun, etc I began to realize that a straight forward approach was necessary as to avoid the "warp" of a shadow view.
When choosing stepping as my motion to map it was only natural...but to refer back to the article the author thinks of acting and dancing where moves are deliberate as unnatural...but I think stepping for me is a natural movement in my life...that I enjoy and do all the time.
