Katistakes I came to ITP and registered for this class mostly out of a curiousity of systems and technologies that I don't understand. Mostly in hopes of taking advantage of this information to expose these processes and make more informed choices in my work and in my life. The driving principle being to have as little negative impact on the world around me. The question of sustainability is huge and I found Tom and Andrew's suggestions to explore this question in a very focused approach refreshing. Starting at home is a good way to really understand the complexities involved behaviorally and systemically. It's a good chunk. matters depletion, imbalance, fading trends, annoys systems/laws not being enforced, recycling is just not really handled/enforced in my building, so it's a futile act to try to recycle. Unless of course I have time/want to sift through everyone's garbage and separate it out into the appropriate bin.
