Lighting
- This is a link to a photo i took of a project I noticed at Wired Nextfest this past month. Its a light fixture, that changes shape according to the electricity usage around it.
- Room lights:
- Use paper sheets from the recycle bins to mold into shades for the existing light structures in the room. Within the shades, insert the "green bulbs" next to the existing neons. Here are some Maya renderings with an optional design.
- Applied paper technology DriveBy (= paper mache)
- could the coffee cups be incorporated in some way/ lights, acoustics
- look at Andrews inspiration for the coffee cups
Cables / Switches
- General design concept for the additional layer (cables, switches)
- Refer/document what power is currently being consumed, so we can compare when it's running green. Should be recorded in the Audit page
Informational / Ambient Display
- An object in the room which would react according to the power consumption in the room
- A real-time visualization of the power-flow coming from the solar panel (possibly using Tom's ancient Amp-meters). This will be made possible hopefully using Xbee radio communications + Xport from the 12th floor down the stairs to our floor.
