Palpitations is a performance piece that harnesses the body\'s rhythms to create scenic effect. A heart rate monitor affixed to the performer\'s body tracks variations in pulse. The data is wirelessly transmitted to a computer via bluetooth. Max/MSP/Jitter, using the heart rate data as an input, processes video and controls lighting with a MIDI signal.
