Description
The patent pending GumSpots™ Mobile Map and Messager system (MMM) enables the fast creation, and deployment of location based services such as city maps, big games, food and bar hotspots, university guides, real estate listings, social facilitators, self-guided tours and more. GumSpots™ MMM provides easy customization of ones mobile device by adding a wide variety of integrated services which are of interest to them via an open framework which is consistent regardless of Carrier, Manufacturer or Operating System.
Personal Statement
My interest in mobile interaction and a need for a technically and ubiquitous platform to deploy big games and other location based media.
Background
Google & Yahoo maps - built for the computer screen. We dont live our actual lives based on Latitude and Longitude. A Mobile Map should be User Centered.
Dodgeball.com - Skips around the wall that the Carriers have built around mobile innovation.
Flash Lite - The best thing to happen to cell phones since star trek.
semacode.com - a 2d bar code system used for big games like conQuest.

Implementation
The GumSpots Mobile Map & Messenger (MMM) allows us to develop innovative services such as mobile tours, big games, and 'marketing' events quickly and efficiently. GSPS is our own pattern recognition system which can function like a semacode but has a number of benefits and can be tightly integrated with our mapping system.
