Description

Think YouTube for ad spots, print ads and audio jingles. The idea is to create a one-stop virtual ad shop and an entertainment venue of only ads for consumers and marketers. Ads by people who watch it and enjoy watching it has always interested me. This is where marketers can come to find honest insights and information from consumers through ads they create. And if they like the ad(s) they can lease it or buy it and use it. My belief is that, it is more likely that an online user will watch an ad if it was made by one of them. Madison Avenue idea is passe and was meant for TV. Hyperadsbyu is an attempt to address the advertising needs of WEB 2.0 phenomenon - the love for user-generated-style ad content.

Personal Statement

My background in advertising mainly and my inability to understand why ads should cost so much and why only a select group of people sitting comfortably within their "walled garden" should define what to communicate. Especially in todays WEB 2.0 context consumers are as savvy and knowledgeable about what their use and interact with. They can create ads easily and we are in love with the whole user-generated-look and feel of content online. So why not use this successful idea and apply it to create ads that people actually do not mind watching!
