Proustian Phenomenon

Do you ever smell something oddly familiar that reminds you of an event or time from your past? This is known as the Proustain Phenomenon, which is the ability of an odor to evoke a vivid memory. I want to use this phenomenon as the basis for my thesis. I want to create a documentary recounting my experience using smell as a memory trigger.
