Olivia Shu-Chi Liao

A space-sensitive finder that locates hot new open houses.

Description

A mobile application that works as a hot spot locator and can be further customized for multi-user life spectrum mapping.

This Project comes from the motivation to turn static map on and alive for daily accompany, and the idea of sharing and storing life as a experience than pieces of information. The function will be in the next version of Sfrmate-Memory Map.

Personal Statement

I always get lost with a piece of map so I want to build my own user friendly tool to feel spots, people, and things that's happening around, and I want my map to follow my step on my way to explore new discoveries.

Background

GPS devices, bluetooth connection, cellphone Java programing, web information and data storing.

Audience

Everyone who's in to digging spots

User Scenario

-Apartment Finder:
The user is on the way to work when he/she has been searching for an apartment for couple of weeks. Every time he found an possible apartment open, it's been taken. Even though he walked around his ideal housing area all the time, it's just so easy to miss the perfact timing for rare matches.

-Rss Mapgrower:
We are all looking for wifi coffee shop to work on projects but the really good ones are rare and sometimes those new ones simply have better wifi. It would be nice to just walk around and know where to have new options, also by passing the information around within only a small group of friends.
