I was playing around with Google SMS tonight. I have to admit my first impression of the experience was how much easier it is to type on a keyboard. But I think I felt that way largely because I was sitting in front of a computer keyboard at the time. In a real life situation, I'd be using Google SMS because I wasn't able to do a normal google search. That said, I think it might take some people time to get used to the idea of doing web searches on their phones, if for no other reason than the act of searching the web is something people are very used to. A new form of this task which is slower could be noticeable.
Looking over the website, the FAQ and other documentation is really good. It explains the concept really clearly. The instructions are simple enough.
I sent a couple queries and waited for the results. It's been about 15 minutes now. I'm going to sleep.
