Computational Media – Week 1

First Processing Sketch
Limited to 2D primitives like: rect(), ellipse(), line(), and quad()… we were to create a static image of our choice. At a loss I turned to one of my favorite architects Louis Khan.. whose work I felt might translate nicely into a world of primitives… here is a rendition of the Salk Institute in Southern California:

I will admit, that while this was one of the more tedious tasks I’ve undertaken in some time, I did “cheat” after a while… I used photoshop to reference xy coordinates and RGB values…  otherwise I don’t think I would have finished it.  (Applet and source code).
