Final presentation

Concept of storybook:
- A story focused on one character going through an experience easily relatable by adults, but could also be engaging for children (by way way of storybook and illustration scheme)
- Common experiences: all aspects of love, the feeling of "stuck," relocation and finding one's place
- Illustration characteristics: simple, line drawings with little to no perspective that do not literally convey the story.
- Considerations: story cannot be forced (needs to come from the heart), illustrations and story are dependent on each other.
- Inspiration: Edward Monkton

The story of relocation and the universal emotions tied to it. Uprooting onself, attempting to plant oneself in new soil. Numb to the unfamiliar atmosphere, so much to absorb, so easily distracted. After going through a series of things (finding a new place to live, dating, finding a new job, making new friends) character realizes she runs into the same old cycles and routines. Things are a little boring, people are the same everywhere, situations are the same everwyhere. Problem easily solved by making plans to go somewhere else. But in the end she realizes that she is also a constant in all this madness. If she runs away the same cycle will happen again. If she wants to deal with herself she must stay and learn how to appreciate the wonderful things right in front of her.
