Hair of the Dog.
For the first time in a (long) while, I'm looking for music. I got more than a little jaded at Northeastern, and just needed a break, I suppose. But now the vacuum is back - or visible, anyways - so glut I will. Its funny how much taste broadens over the years. So many factors in music appreciation. Less than half of what is really valuable in a given track or album, artist, even genre, is 'music' at all. Hell, its not even all that enjoyable. Who the hell likes Noise? Lots of people. How is appreciation different from enjoyment? Every time someone says "I don't like it, but I appreciate it," God kills a kitten. I've said it. YOU've said it. But its bullshit. You like it, or you don't. If you appreciated it, you'd like it. Whats with all the cognitive dissonance? Maybe I should try to be less critical.

no, i think you should be more critical, it's really your strongest rheotrical device (in my opinion). you know i agree with you on this as we've had this minor discussion.
