For my pop up book final I’m planning to explore varying shapes and color. The sketches below depict simple to complex arrangements of triangles, squares, and circles, and then a mashup of the three. Also, I included a video about creating sculpture with books by way of folds. If I’m able to make the combination cohesive I’d love to integrate some paper sculptures from pages of some dusty old books I have.

J’adore David Carter. One of my favorite Carter books is called Trail. My friend Kevin takes us through the book in the video above. I admire Carter’s work and I’ve discovered that his method really helps inform my creative flow. I think I am heading towards an abstract final book full of lots of repetition…stay tuned
