About

Welcome. My ITP blog is a an online record of my creative process and a collection of things that inspire me. My curiosity for the human condition has most recently led me to the Interactive Telecommunications Program at Tisch NYU where I study and innovate for interactive, human centered design. I just completed my first year and I intend to use the knowledge and skills I’ve learned at ITP as a tool for better creating and designing technologies. I’m particularly interested in exploring cybernetics, cognitive dissonance, collective joy, and small discoveries.

Over the past few years I gained international professional experience in Egypt and India where I developed and implemented projects that addressed extreme poverty and hunger among street children, combated gender based violence, and celebrated diversity and promoted tolerance among marginalized communities. My academic background is in Cultural Anthropology with a focus on the Middle East and Social Entrepreneurship. I’m currently developing a technological hand and discovering new ways to integrate my background in the humanities into design because of the need to think through the technologies we offer society.

Portfolio still to come, stay tuned…
