My art practice centers on the mundane and the tension between factuality and storytelling. Through accumulation, repetition and systematic investigation, I seek to excavate the extraordinary within the seemingly commonplace. These methods allow me to deconstruct narratives, conjuring up our constant search for linear, comprehensive and resolved stories. My background in traditional animation is inherently bound to my process – reiterating a still image over and over again to create new meaning. I am currently exploring New Media’s potential for expressing these multi-layered concepts at ITP.
