Influences, inspirations and ideas crushed together quickly to get an overall sense of the work. I think the hard edges and sloppy PS job are where I’m at with the process right now. The overall sense I get from this is repetition, grunge, layers of transparency, disordered grids.

Influences on there include: Joseph Beuys, Joan Jonas, Deleuze & Guattari, Matthew Barney’s Guardian of The Veil, Marcus Coates, Oleg Kulik, and Paul McCarthy. Some of the text is from Robert Corrigan’s Rodent Academy course I took last spring. The tile images and the rats are my own.
