diaries
playbook diaries were created so that parents and thier chidren could documnet playtime activity. One side of the palybook was dedicated to the parent entry and the other side left blank so that the child could illustrate thier paly activity with crayons that were included in the diary.
cultural inventory
an example of an inventory of toys of some of the users was recorded. all available toys were catalogued. A rating system accounted for the the top five toys the parents and preffered and the bottom five the parents were not please with for our records.
shadowing
an effective research method used to document activities
between parents and their children. in this case the subjects spent an
afternoon at the children museum of manhattan.

a reliable tool for recording moments for documentation.
