Overview

To examine children playing and interacting with adults, we selected a father-daughter pair that had planned a trip to the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. We shadowed the pair through the arrival process and museum visit, through departure. The total time spent shadowing was approximately two hours. During the session, we took handwritten notes and digital pictures while interviewing both father and daughter. The father, Charles, is approximately 35 years old and an entertainer. His daughter, Morgan had just turned six years old.
