Right now I’m interested in two different project ideas. The first is a simple video chat room specifically for people in MOOCs where they can discuss the content that they are learning. It would help the socialization aspect of online learning and it seems like the websites aren’t integrating this sort of feature into their sites. Hopefully the site would be allow for simple exchange of notes as well. Another idea that I had was a curriculum/content aggregator for online learning. After more research, it appears that this has already been done to a certain extent, although the results are not great. Someone in class also had a great idea of extending the curriculum to youtube videos, not just Coursera or ed-x. The content could extend to the maker movement as well as the content traditionally consists of the basic humanities, math, and computer science courses. I’m also open to collaboration with someone on their idea as neither of these ideas necessarily have the potential for widespread impact.
