Why connect?

We go about our daily lives without putting much thought into why we feel the way we do, and why things happen the way they do. I think in order to understand ourselves and our surrounding and circumstances, we need to examine our autonomic responses to everything by connecting computers to the rest of us.

To understand how our sleep (or lack of) has affected our day, we should monitor how we have slept (brain waves, motion, heart rate, temperature?), and how we are feeling throughout the following day (heart rate, mood?).

Feeling nervous to speak in front of the class is fairly normal. Why don’t we monitor our heart rate while we are speaking, and expose our vulnerability to the class/audience? It would be interesting to see whether the vulnerability exacerbates our speeding heart.
