Gordie is the founder of, and as far as he knows the only adherent to, Gordaoism, which is an offshoot of his earlier belief system known as Foodhism.
While Foodhism preaches that we are all one good meal away from feeling better about ourselves, Gordaoism insists that Chinese food must be part of the meal if you want to ensure that effect.

While he respects vegans, he can’t adhere to any philosophy that would prevent him from stopping into a pizza parlor whenever he felt the urge to enjoy a nice slice.
Then there’s YooHoo. It has no milk in it, but he believes it contains something identified as “nonfat milk solids”, so he assumes that vegans would have a problem with even this processed product since it sounds like it at one point came from some poor cow. With all apologies to those vegans out there, he’s not giving up YooHoo.
His beliefs towards animals are similar to those of the pro-life lobby towards children in this country: he doesn’t want to see them killed, but when it comes down to it, he’s not all that concerned if they have a miserable life…especially if it means he can have pizza and YooHoo.
