3 parts to designing a board
package: the physical dimensions of the parts, have to look up the details and dimensions on the datasheets
symbol: for the schematic, pins layed out correctly
device menu: both together
different types of pins on the schematic
PWR/0: power ground pins
I/0: pins
pin #1 is always given a square pad-like shape on the pcb
surface mount pads (red blocks)
connectors: power connectros, dc socket
rcl: resistors, capacitors (pol), inductors
