Pop Up Books Final Ideas/Inspiration
I am flip flopping back and forth with wanting to incorporate the origami/kirigami techniques that I admire so much and wanting to create a book that is actually not limited to the pages but is a mobile. The third element that I am trying to incorporate is light and shadow.
And after doing a bit of research I have found a couple of new fascinations – kinetic paper sculptures!

These inspired me to build a vertical wind turbine for my mechanisms class that I would like to attach a motor to.
I’m also playing around with the pages of the book in the spine similar to the work of Carli Hyland.
