For my 3-D zoetrope assignment, I tried to do a simple transformation animation.  I used Sculpey to create figures that turned from a busty torso into balloons that float away.  Originally, I was going to include a face and head on my torso, but in the end, I felt it was more effective to leave them out.

My balloons are a little too high, so it makes it difficult to follow the ascension.  I might need to tweak their positions a bit…also I lost a balloon before documenting.

3D Zoetrope

I really enjoyed making a zoetrope and hope to make more in the future!

Woodward the End Table is an elderly, gentlemanly end table who ends up in a love triangle with his long-term friend, Chesterfield (a lounge chair) and Luminaria (a lamp).  Despite his name, Woodward is not made of solid wood.  He is composed mostly of found cardboard, a shoebox, and some dowels.  To control Woodward, I have a simple mechanism that opens his drawer when he talks!
