So Far I have the torso working and the arms somewhat assembled.
We created shadow puppets out of acetate with fishing line joints after Stephen Kaplin gave a great presentation in class. I made this odd creature with a moveable head and arm.
Working on the refrigerator set for the Halloween Kitchen Apocalypse show.
Still needs some work and some paint.

The Rotten Eggs
Egg Puppet test from B.Light Design on Vimeo.
I’m using a character I did a stop motion with last year called Pyramis in a 3D zoetrope.
The pyramid characters are laser cut as well as the foamcore base.
The whole puppet was turned on the lathe. It is made from spalted maple, walnut, oak, ebony, and cocobolo. All oiled and waxed.
The trapeze design comes from a book Ithai lent me.
Very simple mechanism for the mouth/cushion. Very reminiscent of Chairy.
A struggling super hero sidekick, the S.E.A. (SCUBA Enhanced Ape) Monkey can barely swim and only seems to defeat villains by accident.
Name: S.E.A. Monkey to the public, mild mannered accountant Joeseph Young by day.
Age: 13, but that’s getting up there in monkey years
Occupation: Defender of the city’s waterways
Loves: Bananas and Justice
Hates: Evil doers
The head is made of blue foam and plasti dip spray paint. The body is a modified pillow and a red baby shirt. The eyes are a diving mask, the feet flippers. Arms and legs are t-shirt materials with wooden dowels sewn inside of them. Hands are twisted wire sprayed with plasti dip.
