So Far I have the torso working and the arms somewhat assembled.

We created shadow puppets out of acetate with fishing line joints after Stephen Kaplin gave a great presentation in class. I made this odd creature with a moveable head and arm.

Jackson – the marionette man

Jackson is a marionette. Made of wood and acrylic paint blown through a straw. The string is wax coated fishing line of some type…
The mechanism controls the arms legs and pelvis. holes are drilled through the arms and knees to give a more realistic and controlled movement.

Luminaria – the brilliant lamp
Luminaria was part of a melodramatic love triangle with a side table and arm chair.
She ended up losing out…
shes made of a wooden dowel with a wooden mouth pice that moves on a string controlled spring mechanism.
Her shade is made of a manila envelope and cardboard and some of Coco Domingo’s fringe.
Her angry eyes are LEDs on a 9Volt circuit controlled by a momentary switch.
