WEEK 1

So today was my very first time getting my hands on a breadboard and a LED. It was a blast, my respect for self has gone up as I got through this lab without burning up anything.

I noticed a few things:

  1. there are numerous ways of building circuits based on a single circuit diagram.
  2. I had always let my iron directly touch the solder and the wire- didn't know it was the cause of the weak bond between wires. Today, I touched the wire with the iron, letting the solder to heat up indirectly on the other side. But the soldier wouldn't melt, even after FIVE minutes!! No exaggeration. So I melted the soldier with the iron in the end.
  3. When I placed 4 more LED's in series, the light's overall intensity grew dim. I also confirmed that a variable resistor does manipulate the intensity of light.
