The problem I am interested in researching is how to make local location tracking 
systems. These would be distinct from say GPS, in that they would be a local system 
(operating over maybe 100 feet) and would have very good accuracy (1cm?). they 
would be portable, and the location system could be used to track the movement of a 
video camera or other device in that area.

I am not sure if something like this exactly exsists right now, but I think that 
there are some systems using RF that use a reciever to look at the timing 
differences between transmitters and thus figure out where they are in relation to 
the transmitters.

I feel like there are a ton of potential uses for something like this (it could even 
hook into GPS and give even more accurate readings within the systems range.
In any case, I'm curious.
