Experiments regarding the human form

Here are some drawings and a painting I did on the body.
In these experiments I was interested in opening up the insides of the body, essentially seeing it as a fishbowl of innards and emotions and thoughts.

A relatively literal body.

One of the first little studies I did.

This is more an abstract experiment looking at different textures and vocabularies.

looking at emotion, and the idea of tearing apart outer layers.

This is one of the more developed pieces.
It is very emotional, and essentially reflects how I feel when I am torn inside.

This is fairly unrelated to the other pieces. It is an idea of a physical body extension.
The extension would involve a helmet with a a rotating weight on it, which would cause the
user's head to tilt as a motor rotated the weight.

I want to move these drawings towards paintings. This is one of my first attempts
at establishing a vocabulary regarding that process.
