I hobbled home via the NYC subway system to execute PCM’s “sensor walk” assignment, half-expecting to be overwhelmed by a plethora of underground sensors. I wasn’t. There weren’t as many as I expected, and certainly not as many as there were above ground…

On the people. As a train let out in front of me, I was struck by the fact that the crowd moving around me was alive with personal computer devices, rich with sensor networks (mp3 players, ipads, blackberries and more…)
They aren’t on the walls anymore, they’re on the people.
