Our guest this week is Bill Abrams, President of Trickle Up.
ASSIGNMENT
For next week please identify a project that you plan to identify the project you plan to focus on for the rest of the semester and identify your user testing objectives.
Over the course of this semester you have developed several user experience concepts:
- Counting device – a physical and digital version of a core idea
- Great Buildings – a traditional site architecture and wire frame schematic approach
- Trickle Up – designing an experience that tells a story
- and several in class exercises including forms, a mobile app for gas availability, a radio, the NYC parking meters and US currency.
For the rest of the semester choose one of those concepts and refine and iterate on it. For next week develop a user testing plan for your project. Come to class with a list of the 5 things you want a user to test on your application or product. Two of those should be questions such as “What do you think this site is about?” or “What is the first thing you noticed about this page (or product or app)?” and three should be assigned tasks for the user such as ”Make a sandwich” or “Book a trip to Boston”
