For this assignment students will need to pick a partner (another student in the class to pair up with). Each team will chose a type of product or application to explore (some good examples came up in class this week scheduling applications or desktop widgets like quicksilver). Then each person in the team must pick an example of this application that they are not familiar with and document the interaction model that they derive from interacting with it for a few hours. Use the elements we discussed in class (style, orientation, characteristics) to help you with your analysis. Then switch with your partner and document the interaction model for the example that he/she picked. The final step is to compare your notes. You should come to class prepared to present your findings as a team, including printouts / images of key states of the products you analyzed.
