Most sites utilizing streaming media that I found require personal information of users and some fee to subscribe, which I feel uncomfortable.
Australia's noncommercial radio and television network, ABC has websites that contain live or on-demand audio and video utilizing streaming media for free. It does not even have any advertisement and all users have to do is downloading either Windouws Media Player, RealPlayer, or mp3 stream, and clicking a button for your favorite kind of music. Even though it only has jazz, country, classic and other few kinds for choices and explains each music in Aussie English, this is just like convenient radio. My question is why this network is doing this for free.
