MARILYN MONROE Collaborated by Suning Chen for Undergraduate Course: Creative Design Methodology and the 8th International Bicycle Design Competition. MARILYN MONROE is a movable barstool driven by rolling the ball by foot. It provides ladies funny and elegant riding experience. Special ball-drive mode: The ball functionalizes as a drive. Stepping and rolling the ball by foot can lead the ball-cycle move and turn. Freely-moving- steel beads embedded in the Z-frame can transfer the drive from the ball to the whole ball-cycle body. and largely reduce the friction at the same time. Foldable handle & Locking set: When using it as a barstool, one can fold the handles under the saddle. The wheel will be locked at the same time. When moving forward, one can unlock it by unfolding the handles and they can also keep you in balance. Adjustable hydraulic lift saddle: In order to fit different users, saddle is adjustable by hydraulic lift set. After getting on the saddle, one can lift oneself up to put feet on the ball. When seating oneself on the saddle, one can adjust the height without getting off the stool. It is same to some rolling chair. Lift up, no need to touch the switch bar; go down, one has to hold the switch bar. Model in Rhino 2.0, render in 3DS Max 6.0, prototype with ABS.
