Design Concept
I attempt to show the essence of nature’s beauty by abstracting shapes in the surrounding scene.
- Colors of the surrounding scene around the building gradually soak into the inner space.
- Realistic shapes of outdoor landscapes gradually disappear and distort. Then, the space becomes filled with floating colors.
- Colors start to change the space’s atmosphere, making it abstract and dream-like.

What is it?
‘ColorFilter Space’, a means of experiencing nature from within the confines of the urban landscape. The building soaks up nature’s diverse colors into its own body. The building inspires emotional responses in those who experience it.
This public space will allow people to reflect upon the beauty of nature without necessarily being exposed to it at the moment. This space can provide them a keen awareness of and reverence for the natural elements.
I believe that this is the first step in creating sustainable design.
Application of Sustainable Design
+ Solar Energy System
+ Interactive Video Installation
+ Screen Surface Material
+ Maintenance of Digital Contents toward a Texture on the Building’s Surface
An accumulator, running on the heat of the sun’s rays, would power the inside projector. The solar energy system would supply power for the beam projector. Digital scenes from the projector would continuously replace themselves, maintaining a fluid presentation.
The camera would be set up on the exterior of the building so that we could see the colors of the outdoors on the inside surface. If it is snowing outside, for instance, the inside of the building would be filled with white. If it is raining outside, the inside would become blurry.

Problem/Background
From winter’s snow to spring’s sprouts, nature is mysterious and beautiful. Each season, nature’s scenes change--each unique and memorable. However, caught up in their routines, residents of cities often overlook the importance of nature. The urban landscape hardly allows them to experience its beauty.

Whether change may be casued or not by the relationship between the small parts and the huge parts.
I hope that it have a some sort of symbiosis.
