Answering the need.

You're a busy person. You don't have time to deal with searching for a new intern, finding the right banker, or shmoozing with the boss, much less dealing with you're dog groomer.

Finding the right people to work with is hard. Finding the right people to work for you is hard. Making contacts is tough, and keeping them is tougher. You're old rolodex is getty dusty sitting on that desk, and those numbers aren't going to call themselves. The cell phone made it easier to keep your contacts about you - on your person - the babysitter can get called with the touch of a button, from where ever you might be. But with greater ability to store contacts comes a greater number of contacts to have to keep up with. Who has the time?
