Hello World: First Ever Attempt @ Programming
This is my official “hello world”. Why? Because I was totally a pony girl and ponies were the first thing I ever drew, and it made the whole process of futsing around with coordinates 10x more like candy.
So…It took me quite.a.long.time to draw this pony (about 10 hours?) considering I could have banged it out in MSPaint in 5 minutes flat. (For any non-ITPers, Processing is all numbers! All! except for some strings…which are used to…define…you guessed it-numbers). I must say the wings were an afterthought. Originally this was supposed to be a unicorn, and then I realized WTF it made no sense to have a unicorn jumping over the moon, right? OH yeah, also, the moon was supposed to start bleeding when the unicorn stabbed it with its horn. I looked into collisions but late night brain shutdown won out in this round.
I think I’ll begin to see the benefits of drawing_with_code roll in as we actually start defining_Variables! Making this dynamic!
